When you try the dark side..

You might have come across many articles and videos about “The Dark Web” while surfing. Most of them discuss the disturbing and illegal aspects the dark web.

But what is the experience of a person like me and you, with no deep knowledge about the Deep web, when we try to get a little taste of this dark and obscure side of the internet?

So today, I will tell you what my experience was when I tried the dark web.

Those not familiar with the concept of the dark web, I will tell you all about it in my next blog. For now, just remember that accessing the dark web makes you completely anonymous, which means nobody can track you down, not even the police or the government.

Now getting back to my experience:
When I first accessed the dark web, I was very excited. I wanted to experience the spooky stuff that was shown in videos about the dark web. I firstly (as any beginner would opt to do) got the link for the hidden wiki. It was easy, all I had to do was type what I wanted on google.

I opened the hidden wiki on my browser. I was completely thrilled to see all the links provided on that site. All the illegal things that I could imagine, from sale of drugs, hitman services to the sick things like child pornography were available to me. All I had to do was to click on that link.
It was my first time, so I panicked, and closed the browser immediately. I wanted to experience stuff, I had, so that was all. However, as you can guess, curiosity drove me back to the dark web. I then started to explore.

I visited spooky websites, many of them…. But never any illegal website (like those I mentioned above). Even the legal websites, were quite spooky.   I came across websites like demon worshipers, evil summoning ones and what not.

It all, at first, seemed very interesting. However as I spent more and more time on the dark web, I realized that this place was not for me. I had already seen stuff that made me restless.  There was nothing that I could do there. All I wanted was there, on the surface web. The only advantage for me was the anonymity. That too, is not of any use to me to be honest.

So, I decided to get the hell out of that spooky place. I uninstalled the browser, and was back on google.

Human curiosity is a beautiful thing. It has made the human development possible. It is because of this, we are what we are today. It is the desire to gain knowledge, which never ends. Yeah, never ends.. that’s the bad part!

Yes, you guessed right. I went back.. this time, to experience the darkest side that the dark web could offer. Things that I shouldn’t say.

My advice would be, stay away from this. It’s addictive, and dangerous. It’s not the place for people like you and me.

Stay happy on the surface web!

Thanks for your time!
